I have long been daunted by the book House of Leaves, not least because of its length, it is 736 pages long. But also from the hype it has received. At present I still have not finished the book, which is why I have not yet written my review.
But I felt that the book deserved a blog post of its own as it has been shown to be so epic that I could not ignore it any longer. So, step into the enigmatic world of "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski, where the boundaries between reality and nightmare blur into a mesmerizing tapestry of terror and intrigue. This literary labyrinth beckons us, as readers, with its promise of a narrative experience unlike any other, daring us to explore its depths and unearth its secrets. I have been advised as I embark on this literary journey, I need to be prepared to confront the uncanny, the unsettling, and the inexplicable, all woven together in a narrative that defies convention and challenges perception. With its innovative design, haunting prose, and layers of meaning waiting to be uncovered, "House of Leaves" is more than just a novel—it's an immersive odyssey into the heart of darkness, sure to captivate and enthral fans of mysteries, thrillers, and the surreal. I have also been advised that to truly realise the experience that you need to read this in book format rather than on your e book reader. Only time will tell.
So, dear readers, buckle up and brace yourselves for a reading experience that will linger in your mind long after you've turned the final page.

About Book: A young couple - Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Will Navidson and his partner Karen Green - move into a small home on Ash Tree Lane. But something is terribly wrong - their house is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Neither Will nor Karen are prepared to face the consequences of this impossibility. What happens next is loosely recorded on videotapes and interviews, leading to a compilation of the definitive work on the events on Ash Tree Lane, unveiling a thrilling and terrifying history. Loose sheets, stained napkins and crammed notebooks prove to be far more than the ramblings of a crazy old man . . .
